Do you ever feel like you’re so overwhelmed, you’ve lost touch with yourself? Do you want to tap into the strength you know is in there somewhere? Is it even possible to access our superpowers in a way that we can accomplish everything on our plate and still be true to ourselves?
In this episode, Rebbetzen Tamar Taback of The Nexus School of Transformational Torah for Women joins Leah in uncovering the secret – there is so much mind-blowing material here, that we’re doing a part 2 next week!
Today women have so many external roles to fill that we don’t even get around to tapping into our feminine powers, and who we really are. The definition of power for our purposes, is truth.
When we are tapped into our inner truth, our true selves, that’s when we find our power.
We often feel like it’s either/or: Either I do the dishes, or I live my inner truth- there’s no time for both!
In reality, living our truth is a mindset, not a task. It can be done simultaneously with all of our daily activities. Doing things consciously and with intention can make all the difference.
Feminist Mythbusters:
- Feminine power is not masculine power
- Different strengths- the world needs both
- Feminine values are not just for women
- Empathy, connection, compassion, etc.
- There’s NO gender war- it’s not a competition
- We’re all in this together, or else no one wins
- Feminism is NOT the same as femininity
- The real power of a woman comes from within, from strengthening your feminine consciousness- it is not about external signs of strength or control
- You don’t have to choose between love and power
- As you rise in your own power/truth, your love will grow exponentially
Female Superpowers:
The Torah defines feminine qualities as from the inside leading out, not the outside leading in.
Power of Influence– the power to empower, to be an influencer
- The more control you have, the less influence
- The term for leadership in Hebrew, malchus, is feminine
- We have the power to draw out the power in our husbands, to make him a king by inspiring, not controlling
- A true influencer doesn’t create followers, they create other influencers
- This chain can change the whole world
- We can only influence others if we have the ability to be influenced ourselves: We have to live the concept that everyone can learn from everyone else
- If you want to change someone’s perspective, you don’t play by their rules. You don’t teach someone not to shout by shouting: It is the calm, quiet strength that has the power to influence
- An influencer must connect to a Higher Power
- You can only live your inner truth if you’re connected to the Divine truth
Be sure to check out part 2, where we reveal the remaining 4 superpowers!
