Is it just me, or does it feel like the world is more divided now than ever? We need blessings in our lives like never before!
In this episode, Leah talks with Michael Rothschild of the Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation, which has been widely successful just by making us aware of how we use words.
To help in these troubled times, the foundation is launching a “Shalom (peace) Challenge” aimed at helping people get along even if they have totally different viewpoints.
Seriously? Yes seriously.
Mr. Rothschild breaks down the wisdom of the “Shalom Challenge” into four categories:
- Create peace by how you view people
- Promote peace by how you feel and think
- Spread peace by how you speak
- Activate peace by how you act
Leah and her listeners did not disappoint with some tough real-life experiences that apply to all of us! Unfazed, Mr. Rothschild said: “We need to realize that people have different opinions. People’s opinions come from their backgrounds. Our opinions are the results of how we were raised and our experiences.” He adds a great rule-of-thumb in maintaining peace: “We are all flawed. So chill.”
Mr. Rothschild’s “Shalom Challenge” is a free program to increase peace through 2-minute clips and a small task daily over a 20-day period.
